SOUTHEASTERN COOPERATIVE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS (SECEP), a regional public-school consortium located in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia, provides many employment growth opportunities for individuals that want to work for students with special and alternative needs.
SECEP grows educational professionals through student teaching, practicums, academic training, behavioral training, mentorship, and tuition reimbursement. If you have a love for children and a desire to help them maximize their potential, SECEP offers employment opportunities for high school graduates, college students, and fully licensed education and related service professionals. Together, let’s build pathways for our students to LEARN, WORK, and PLAY their way to success.
If you have a high school diploma, GED, or college degree and a passion for children, join our team and become a teacher assistant for SECEP. We hire, train, and support growing professionals. Move into a rewarding career working with children in a public-school environment.
We have unique training opportunities for college students, of all majors, that have an interest in working with children. Give us a minimum of 2 days/week, and we will provide a paid learning opportunity packed with training, support, and meaningful experiences
Do you have a four-year college degree and a calling to work with children with special or alternative needs? If so, please participate in our virtual Teacher Development Workshop (TDP), held monthly via Zoom: TDP Workshop Link. We will show you how to become a fully licensed teacher while getting paid and trained as an educational professional through an alternative path to licensure.
If you already have a professional license in Virginia or are licensed in another state, we are passionate about selecting educational professionals that truly care about students and their successes. No student accomplishment is too small. Celebrate students and bring joy to their lives.
